What’s your favorite part of being a realtor? Creating an amazing and professional experience for my clients. I like nothing better than delighting them.
Why do you recommend staging to clients? First, everything is about merchandising. If you look at the high-end leaders in merchandising (Nordstrom, Nike, Tiffany’s, etc) their products sell at a premium as compared to more commodity-based products because of the experience. My job is to maximize the buyers’ experience when selling a home. With great staging you are setting the stage for what life could be like in that house. Secondly, real estate is a numbers game. Proper staging ultimately expands the number of prospects. Thirdly, clients can get more money and a faster sale with staging. When you take that all into account, staging is common sense.
Tell us about a time when staging made a big difference? I can think of multiple times staging has made a large difference! While other brokers may recommend clients just get photos quickly and get a property on the market as fast as possible, the reality is often that a staged home–especially in a competitive market–sells faster and at higher prices. I also really enjoy when my clients experience their home staged and see the transformation and wonder why they haven’t done it sooner.
